Education & Outreach
Inspire curiosity. Build connections. Take learning outdoors.
South Nation Conservation’s Education and Outreach programs bring environmental learning to life through hands-on, engaging experiences for students and community groups. Led by SNC outreach staff and dedicated volunteers, our programs help people connect with nature—both indoors and outdoors—while exploring the natural systems that shape our watershed.
Our environmental education programs are designed to complement the Ontario elementary school curriculum, offering interactive learning opportunities that support classroom objectives and spark curiosity about the environment.
When available, our team can visit your classroom or community group to deliver engaging presentations and share opportunities to take meaningful environmental action close to home. Participants are also encouraged to get involved through volunteer opportunities and guided visits to select SNC program sites. In addition, SNC supports high school students by delivering certification and training through the Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) Program.
Whether in the classroom, in the field, or within the community, SNC’s Education and Outreach programs empower learners of all ages to become environmental stewards.
